My love for The Beatles is well known, but since the age of 16 when I studied Wuthering Heights at school I have loved all things Bronte. In the vivid imagination of young Emily Brontë, Heathcliff was an urchin from the streets of Liverpool and brought to the wilds of the Yorkshire Moors. Haworth is the town where The Brontës lived, and the wild magnificent moors inspired Emily, Charlotte and Anne to write their masterpieces of British literature. Join me on a day trip as we follow in the steps of Heathcliff across the moors from Liverpool to Bronte heartland. It would take more than a day trip to see it all. but this day is a lovely introduction the wild and windy Yorkshire Moors.
Day Tripper to Brontë Country

Suggested Itinerary:
9am Pick up from hotel to begin our ride. Drive from Liverpool, across the Moors to Yorkshire will take around 2 hours. I do need to play Kate Bush as we arrive!
11am arrive in Haworth & have a welcome cup of tea at the Post Office where Charlotte Bronte used to mail their manuscripts. This is a wonderfully picturesque Yorkshire Village featuring lovely pubs shops, a vintage railway and of course the Bronte Parsonage Museum. The railway was featured in the film 'The Railway Children'
We will have time for a lovely pub lunch, visit to The Parsonage & browsing the quaint shops & galleries.

This is a wonderful day trip from Liverpool and even if you are not a Brontë Fan, the countryside is spectacular, and Haworth is as picturesque as you can get.

Before your visit you should see at least some of these films & of course read the books
